Taliban may get control of some Afghan provinces

Peshawar—The CIA operated American drones have again struck on the North Waziristan Agency Tuesday morning this time killing at least twenty people and wounding many others. The officials claimed those killed include three fugitives.

“We can confirm that at least 20 alleged militants were killed in a US drone strike on an insurgent training centre in Pakistan’s tribal area near the Afghan border early Tuesday”. The security officials said.

The reports from NWA and the independent sources said two to three drones targeted a house and a vehicle with the hellfire missiles in Bangi Dara area in Ghulam Khan Tehsil some 15 kilometers North of Miranshah as the projectiles played hell in the area .

At least six missiles were fired that hit targets in Ghulam Khan village on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, some 15 kilometers North of Miranshah, the headquarters of the North Waziristan Agency. The official sources said claiming the “militants were using the compound as a training facility.”

Initial reports said ten people were killed in the fresh drones attack and over a dozen others received serious injuries though the later death toll rose to twenty. A senior security official said he feared the death toll may go even higher.

Reports say the targeted vehicle was destroyed completely while a number of rooms in the compound were also razed to ground adding over a dozen inmates of the house were killed by the hellfire missiles while none of the many people onboard the vehicle survived. Unconfirmed reports say as many as three people on board the vehicle were foreigners but their identity could not be ascertained.

“The militants after the attack surrounded the destroyed compound and were searching through the rubble while an excavator dug graves for the dead in a nearby cemetery.” local intelligence officials claimed.
